The Chronicles of Facebook

Recently I added this girl, I'll call D as a friend on Facebook.

I met her around 2000 while working as a receptionist and she was a client. I've bumped into her over the years and never really kept in touch until I saw her on another aquintance of mine's FB friends list and innocently added her.

In over a short period of time, she emails me and asks about another friend, I'll call R. She wanted to know how I know him. She then told me that he was the father of her 13 year old daughter!

Apparently they had a one night stand, R was told about the pregnancy and he asked her to terminate it. She took off and he never saw her until the baby was born.

When faced with the new baby, R came over and denied that he was the father and at the same time R's version is that D was naming another fellow as the father and he suspected she was trying to scam him out of child support payments. After that he has never seen or heard from D.

It came to a complete surprise 13, years later to discover that D is persistent that her daughter is his. Sounds like a Maury Show hey?

Well within a week R and D got together to meet the child. R still has some reservations about the paternity of this child but at the same time is curious.

Over the weekend I ran into D and her trail of 4 kids and her new hubby. What another coincidence I thought!

Well... the story continues... hopefully..this kid will get to know her father and that everyone is happy.
